The Handel and Haydn Society will return to New York for the first time since 1996 for a performance of Monteverdi Vespers at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in April 2017. Artistic Director Harry Christophers will lead the Period Instrument Orchestra and Chorus at the Temple of Dendur—an Egyptian  monument built between 22-10 B.C. installed in The Met’s Sackler Wing. The performance is part of the MetLiveArts 2016-2017 Season.
